Budget Review

Get expert insight into your budget — with clear, actionable steps you can take right away. Designed to help you make the most of your money so you can feel confident it’s supporting your goals.

Get expert eyes on your budget with a 1-hour budget review and a clear action plan.

Your budget should be a tool that supports your goals, not a source of stress, frustration and a time-consuming hassle.

You don’t necessarily need to redo your entire budget and start from scratch to get results. Often, it’s just a matter of making the right tweaks in the right places.

If your budget isn’t both efficient and flexible, you may be missing the chance to achieve your financial goals and build financial stability. Which is where a budget review can help.

Through a budget review, I’ll provide clear, simple, and actionable recommendations to ensure you’re making the most of the money you have.

What’s included in a Budget Review?

A budget review focuses on 4 key areas designed to help you make impactful changes.

01. Income verification and tracking

This involves accurately documenting all sources of income, including salary, bonuses, commission, and any other payments received. This is especially important if you are a solopreneur whose income is variable and often sporadic.

02. Fixed and variable expense analysis

Fixed expenses are consistent costs like rent, mortgage, and insurance, while variable expenses fluctuate monthly (utilities, groceries). A budget review analyzes both types of expenses to identify areas for potential cost savings.

03. Savings goals and progress

Setting and saving toward financial goals (an emergency fund, a new car, a down payment on a house, a vacation) is a crucial part of budgeting. The budget review assesses how well your budget is supporting these goals and recommends adjustments as needed.

04. Discretionary spending habits

This refers to expenses that are not essential, but are for personal enjoyment (e.g., dining out, shopping, hobbies). Budget reviews should examine discretionary spending to ensure there is built in discretionary money and that it aligns with financial priorities.
